the finished christmas tree and manger on the piano...
1:20pm: i'm back from staying with gramma and grampa m, and aunt L and uncle E... noah's grown a lot since i saw him in the beginning of aug, but he's grown to be a little lazy boy...
so at home now and most of the xmas decorations are up.. mum's still cooking, and we're still shopping... my vacation time is almost up... the last day of vacation time at home is this sunday, and monday i don't have to go to work till 1200, and then i'll be getting off at about 1500 or 1600... hopefully it'll just be a 3 hour work day... that would be so nice...
update 10pm: sonya and i just made two batches of fudge, with the head cheif's (mum) supervision of course. found it quite hard to stur the chocolate and the ingredients together, but that it's best when you have two and a half people sturing concurently...
and now, after watching parenthood, it's time to watch a christmas story. and if you haven't seen either movie, well it's a shame. there both great classics.

Parenthood! That movie is hilarious. That part where Keanu Reeves talks about "Slapping the salami" is so funny. Never seen A Christmas Story, though...I must add it to the ever-growing list of good movies that I've missed out on (which includes The Maltese Falcon, True Grit, most of Quentin Tarantino's stuff, and the second half of Casablanca). Wish we could all get a taste of that homemade fudge! When you're in San Diego, if you ever want some really awesome fudge, and don't feel like making it, there's an old fashioned candy store in Old Town called "Cousin's Candy Shops"...they make great pumpkin pie fudge!
