  • "Traveled far from my home
    Foreign streets paved with stone
Deep in my dreams, Moroccan sand
Now I sail my ship on dry land"
    ~ tori amos (from 'pirates')

i'm home right now (on dry land) for a much needed vacation. i've been keeping myself pretty busy: going home as often as i can, and hanging out with as many of my friends as i can, and seeing all the latest movies. i'm finally getting over my bought with a viral rash, which the ship doctor thought of as a fungis thing. the ship is still the same by working us like slaves, poor food, and bad medical treatment. the easter egg hunt and ham times were great tody. the kids were adorable and playfull as always.

after the eggs and ham, all the tweenty-somethings went to see dan's band play. they were pretty good, with a descent crowd. lisa and her friend had fun with my camera and i was able to rescue it from them.

onto other news... the rumors of the deployement are true. we're going to australia and japan (again) at the end of april. april 29th to be exact. i'm not really looking forward to going on my 3rd deployement here because i've barelly been in for 2 years. but it would be nice to see those places again.

  • Why poor food and bad medical attention? I would have thought you folks would get the best of both...
Hope the seas are kind to you on your third outing....

  • ah.....bad food.......sleeping into the dirt.....my 20's in the Army....

  • I'm glad to read that you're having a nice vacation, and I hope that you feel better soon.  I'm sending some get-well wishes your way right now.  Sorry you're getting deployed so much, but I have heard that Australia and Japan are both nice places to go...maybe if you take any pictures while you're there, you could share a few of them with us? :)   Take care.

  • Hoping to see some lovely pics from Oz..
